Since 1985, Artemis Center for Alternatives to Domestic Violence has been providing services to victims of domestic violence and their children.
The non-profit organization was founded by a small group of women, often working without pay. The idea was to provide services other than traditional housing. Those free and confidential services include crisis intervention by phone and walk-in appointments; individual adult, child and family therapy; support groups; criminal and civil court accompaniment and victim advocacy with systems and community partners.
